Graduation Day

Author's PoV

It was Radha's graduation day. She will receive her PhD today. She did her research on the epic love story of Krishna and Radha. She had a crazy love for Lord Krishna.

"Radhu, wake up, it's already 8. Your graduation ceremony will start in two hours princess."

Her mother Radhika tries to wake her up.

"Five more minutes ma..."

She replied in a sleepy voice.

"No more, wake up."

With that her mother wakes her up and pushes her to the washroom to brush and change.

After twenty minutes. Radha was all set for her graduation day. She wore a pink kurta, which adorned her skin color. She paired silver jhumkas with it. Kept her hair open. Applied her kajel, put on a red small bindi and a nude color lipstick.

Her outfit.

Radha's PoV

After getting ready, I descended the stairs to the dining room where everyone was sitting. I took the blessing of Dadu and dadi, papa, chachu, ma, Chachi.

Dada and Dadu has come here from Rajasthan to attend our graduation ceremony.

"Good mornin everyone."

I wished them happily.

"Good morning our Princess."

Everyone replied in a unison voice. I smiled.

"Princess eat well, we have a long day today."

Dadu reminded me. I nodded my head.

"Dadu, it's not only Radhu, but I am also getting graduated."

Aditya complains. And everyone laughs at his pouts.

(Me and Aditya are of same age and are studying the same, but his research was on Indian economics).

"Adi, don't be jealous of our Princess."

Chachi told him, making everyone laugh out loud.

Well, I haven't introduced myself, I am Radha Vansh Varma. The only girl child in the Varma family.

My Four brothers are really overprotective and caring.

Everyone in the family treats me as a princess. Which of course, I am. I am all theirs princess.

My family resides in Delhi while Dada and Dadi stay in our home town in Rajasthan. Papa and Chacha shifted to Delhi for enlarging our business.

Varma's are more into education and fashion industry.

Our Varma university is one among the top Universities in the world, lot many students from many countries have come here to study. All of us youngsters did our studies there. Even now Adi and me are taking our PhD there only.

After breakfast, we all went to the graduation ceremony. We youngsters took the same car, papa, ma, chachu, and chachi in one and dada and dadi in another. Me and Adi were so much excited for our graduation day.

Dad went to the stage as he was the chairman and chacha too went to the stage as he was the chancellor.

We all were seated among the students, while our family sat in the front rows. Dad, Chachu and the principal went ahead to welcome the Guest. Krishna Gupta Vardhan. Who wouldn't know him. He was a legend in the business industry. He was our guest in honour for today's graduation. His honey brown eyes drowned me in them. I felt like I have known him since ages. And the name...

The graduation ceremony started after the speeches of all the delegates. The graduation certificates were given to the Under graduates first, then postgraduates and finally it was our turn... of the PhD students.

"Now it's time for our most prestigious students, the PhD students who will graduate soon. Certificates for our PhD graduates will be awarded by Mr. Vardhan."

Our principal Mr. Anil Kumar Khanna announced and started calling names of students. Then he called Adi's name.

"Mr. Aditya Dev Varma."

Adi smiled and stood up from his seat to receive the certificate. He descended down and came to me, flashing his smile.

I was tensed why name wasn't called. I was the only one left. Then suddenly Mr. Khanna spoke.

"Next is our last PhD graduate. She has scored a perfect score for her thesis, all the delegates were very impressed with her work. I would like to welcome Miss. Radha Vansh Varma to the stage."

I was too happy.

"Radhu, you made it. I am so proud of you."

Adi told me while hugging. I stood up and went towards the stage. Dad and Chachu were looking at me so proudly. Mr. Vardhan awarded me my certificate.

"Thank you."

I thanked him. To which he just smiled.

"Radha will you have a few words please."

Mr. Khanna asked me. And I smiled and went towards the microphone.

"Good morning everyone. I feel so good to stand here today, it wouldn't have been possible without my family. I would like to thank my Papa, ma, chachu and chachi for supporting me in difficult times. And my four brothers for always pushing me when I was in dead ends. Thank you."

Her speech got lot many applauses.

Unknown to her was that a pair of honey brown eyes were following her.
